New FDA Requirements

You will soon see calorie and nutritional information on menu’s in many chain resturants. The new guidelines are to help give people the correct information when making their food choices. Many people do not know how to correctly judge their calorie intake, thus causing over consumption and weight gain. This is a great first step helping educate people. This will not make a difference if people don’t actually use the information though. Maybe having the information right in front of them will help them make a more conscious effort.

Here is a link for an interactive learning program the FDA has provided to help educate people on how to plan a healthful diet and manage their calorie intake. Lots of great information in it, so take a look!
